Automatic Dimensions
In many views, when you select a façade, edge, or face, relevant dimension lines will automatically appear.
Editing Existing dimensions
Moving a Dimension’s Reference Point
If you want to change what a dimension is referenced (hosted) to, drag the dimension endpoint to the desired edge or face.
Entering a New Value to Move Geometry
When a dimension is hosted to the selected geometry, you can enter a new value directly in the dimension field. The selected geometry will move accordingly.
Adding Custom Dimensions to Geometry
You can also add custom dimensions using the Dimensions tool in the toolbar.
These custom dimensions are useful for:
- Keeping key building measurements visible at all times
- Defining critical distances that you expect to adjust frequently during design
- Making it easier to control and refine the layout as you iterate
