A deep passion for computational design and digital prototyping complements his expertise in delivering multi-billion-dollar projects. A recognized thought leader, Cesar shares his knowledge through speaking engagements and education while actively shaping the industry through leadership roles in the American Institute of Architects. Cesar is the 2025 Chair of the AIA National Technology in Architectural Practice Knowledge Community and Board Director of the AIA San Francisco. Cesar holds a Master of Architecture and a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin.

Hi there! My name is Juan Bautista, or Bauti for short, and I am a coterm student in Sustainable Design and Construction. I’m originally from Mendoza, Argentina. During my undergrad, I majored in both Civil Engineering and Architecture, as I was particularly interested in the integrated workflow between architects and structural engineers in building modeling. I always saw these two disciplines as one shared practice, which made me very interested in BIM and mastering software like Revit. I took CEE220A early in my Stanford journey, and it was not only one of my favorite courses at Stanford, but also foundational for my subsequent courses in Architecture & Engineering and my professional pursuits, with Revit still being the main modeling software in my portfolio. This makes me so excited to be part of this year’s teaching team. Outside of Stanford, I have experience in building design, and I am pursuing transportation engineering as my professional focus (very happy to talk about that!). I am so excited to be part of your building modeling journey!
Luis Pablo Trujillo Mireles

Luis’s experience spans structural design, BIM coordination, and fast-track project delivery, including leading structural packages for more than 1.5 million square feet of industrial development in Mexico. A strong interest in constructability, digital workflows, and infrastructure development shapes his approach to bridging engineering decisions with how projects are ultimately built. He has also contributed to engineering education through guest lectures and industry mentoring. Luis holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and is a LEED Green Associate. His long-term interests center on developing sustainable infrastructure and construction businesses that combine technical rigor, technology, and practical implementation. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sustainable Design and Construction at Stanford University and most recently interned at Arup in San Francisco.
