Your Recommendation for the “Best” Design Option

I would choose proposal 3. Compared to the other two, proposal 3 has a more design feel. I increased the area in contact with the outside world as much as possible in order to increase the window area. at the same time. The gap between Buildings A and B facilitates air flow and people walking between them. The two buildings are connected to facilitate communication between the two buildings. Finally, this design reduces the pressure on fire safety to a certain extent, and also makes it unique in New York where there are many high-rise buildings.

For proposal 3, most parts can achieve more than 8 hours of sunshine. At the same time, you can also use the solar translucent glass I mentioned in journal1, which is extremely energy efficient. High Daylight Potential helps reduce the consumption of electrical energy by increasing the window area. The roof platform is very suitable for greenroof, which can reduce the heat island effect, collect rainwater and reduce carbon dioxide emissions due to solar energy.
