Creating a New Shared Levels & Grids Model by Cloning an Existing One

Typically, you'll be able to use the same Shared Grids for several variations of an overall building scheme (for example, double-diamond or L-shaped), but you'll create a new Shared Grids file for the second shape concept.

And when you do that, the easiest way will be to:

  • Open the Shared Levels and Grids model.
  • Save As to create a new local copy on your computer with a different name.
  • Change the gridlines to match the overall shape of the new concept.
  • Upload this new Shared Levels and Grids model to ACC.
  • Link the new Arch, Struct, and MEP models to this new version of the Shared Levels and Grids.
