Displaying the Aerial Image for Your Project Site

The aerial image is a JPEG file, which Revit maps as a material to the surface layer of your site’s toposolid element. So, to display this image on your computer, you’ll need to download the JPEG file to your computer and store it a pre-determined file location that Revit expects.

Do this:

  • Open the C:\ drive on your computer in Windows Explorer.
  • Create a new folder named CEE222 at the root level.
  • 💡

The path to this folder will be C:\CEE222

  • Copy the appropriate site image file from this Google Drive folder into your C:\CEE222 folder.
  • Restart the Revit application.
  • 💡

This will trigger Revit to find and start displaying the image file.
