Choosing the Sheets and Views to be Published in Forma Data Management

Your Revit project will typically include many views and sheets that you’ll use while making changes to your model, but often, you don’t want to share all of them with others.

You can choose which Revit views and sheets will be shared when you publish a new version in Forma Data Management.

Workflow

  • Open Collaborate > Manage Models > Publish Settings.
  • The Publish Settings dialog displays:
    • A list of Publish Sets that are defined for your project in the upper pane.
    • A list of the Revit views and Sheets in the lower page.

  • The All Sheets set is pre-defined in Revit models exported from Forma Building Design. It includes the Site View 3D and all of the pre-defined sheets — one for each floor level.

Creating a New Publish Set

  • Click the New Set button.

  • Name your new Publish Set.

  • Turn on the Include checkbox for all the views and sheets that you’d like to include in this Publish Set.

Workflow and Demo Using Prior Versions of Tools

These videos demonstrate the same workflow using the prior version of the software tools (BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud). The product names have been changes, but the steps in the workflow are essentially the same.
