Why am I creating a prototype?
To facilitate sorting trash correctly (disposing of it in the right bins).
What product features will I prototyping? And why?
Confused Karen needs overall consistency (color, text, images, size,…) because trashcans around campus are confusing. Therefore, I have come up with a way of making it less confusing for people. I came up with a design for a transparent recycling trashcan shaped like a plastic bottle. On the sides of the bin, there will be photographs and examples of items that can be recycled in the bin.
What do I hope to learn from testing this feature?
I want to find out if it will be more helpful for people to have photos of the items instead of having a lot of text.
How will you prototype and share these features with others to get their feedback?
I will sketch it out. Initially I was working on a prototype but it was thrown away :(
