Feature 1: Booking system

  • Visit a shop, buy stuff, option available for the stuff to be sent directly to the exit at a certain time so that you don’t have to carry your bags around.

Feature 2: Microgrid System & Solar Integration

  • Solar panels on the roof
  • Solar windows in certain location (lower efficiency than panels)
  • A microgrid so that the mall is not dependent on the grid for power, or only partially dependent

Feature 3: Open air, no-car mall area + trains!

  • Large open spaces to accomodate large crowds
  • No cars, we can explore parking options potentially
  • Electric powered trains running through the mall? Maybe underground
  • The open air feature is key for reducing traffic, since there can be many different entrances for easy access to certain parts of the centre

Feature 4: Adaptive AC (for indoor areas)

  • Air conditioning that regulates the temperature based on number of people, since more people generate more heat
  • Conversely, when the mall is empty, the temperature is slightly higher as strong air conditioning is not needed

Feature 5: Premium residential areas within the mall

Feature 6: Recreational activities: gyms, arcades, cinemas, libraries. Essentially making the place like a small city.
