The fashion industry is one of the most prominent industries today and every year billions of garments are produced. This being said, not much of it is recycled or reused. While thrifting has gained some popularity it is nothing compared to the amount of clothes that are thrown away.
Furthermore, fast fashion has become quite a hot topic in recent years. Brands such as Shein are being looked down upon for their production methods and the disposable nature of their products. Brands such as Shein and Boohoo are attractive to customers due to their incredibly low prices. Brands that have taken steps to become more sustainable are often more expensive which means that not everyone has access to sustainable fashion. I want to explore ways to help individuals make changes to their clothing shopping habits that is accessible to a wider range of people.
