  • Priest and owns ecological sustainability non-profit

Key Findings from the Interview

  • Q1) Tries to eat local. Plant based or pasture raised. Certain areas have different diversity of agriculture.
  • Q2) During winter it is hard to get fresher foods. Believes most food averages 1000 miles.
  • Q3) Affordability is very important. System is not set up for fresh food, rather for cheap available food better for policy not sustainability.
  • Q4) Self taught. Reading and working with others engaged in the agriculture topic.
  • Q5) Eat within watershed, or at least within state. Know how to make or get locally all the food she currently uses.
