The domain that I’d like to focus on is….

Renewable energy powered transportation, particularly for rural communities.

This area is important/interesting to me because….

Mass / public transit systems tend to be focused in urban areas and cities. Therefore, it is often essential for people in remote or rural communities to have their own cars/ trucks to move around for their work and lives.

I want to redesign rural transportation in order to revolutionize the way that these communities move in order to reduce their dependence on individual vehicles. I want to focus on the goal of why people buy vehicles - often gas/diesel - in order to move and how this can be improved to address the transportation needs of more people.
