Project 1 - Plan for Iterating

Planning to Iterate

  • Was the feedback consistent? The feedback was relatively consistent, with a lot of questions around the time journeys would take in relation to driving and also the cost in terms of profitability for a private operator or the feasibility for public funding. Cost of trips was mentioned a lot and a subscription fee was consistently seen favourably.
  • What were the best learnings? The time it takes to complete a journey and the flexibility to have multiple stops/ destinations on the same trip (eg. parents taking children to different schools and then driving themselves to work). How many would be needed to cover a specific community or area?
  • What should you implement as you ITERATE? Implement a model based on the number of buses required for an area, the average difference in time taken for journey and a costing model that is economically viable.
