PowerPoint “Thought” Flow:
- What’s the problem? @Satyan Chandra
- ~40% of emissions from transport only
- Off that 40%, 60%+ are from cars and small road vehicles
- Electrification offers much lower emission way for road transport
- But despite after 13 years of mainstream EVs, EVs are only 2% of all global vehicle market share. Slow adoption at a macro-world level.
- Why is EV adoption slow? @Satyan Chandra
- Some reasons - cost, awareness, charging infrastructure, prejudiced biases
- But one big reason is ‘charge waiting times are too long’
- 70%+ of surveyed auto-owners say that ‘wait times are a big hiccup for them’

- We at EVHub want to solve this, and make ‘waiting for charging’ a useful, productive venture. We want to remove this concern, and hasten EV adoption, knowing that even 10 yrs from now, we don’t expect charge times to drastically reduce below 15-20 mins.
- How do we plan to hasten EV adoption? @Karim Mallak
- With EVHub - the world’s first 90%+ recycled, net zero emission, fully solar powered, and off-the-grid, community pod that’s deployed at all charging stations
- EVHub features a snackroom, restrooms, a yoga room, a gym, a children and pet’s play area, ;lounging facilities and an entertainment center to let you be you while your EV charges.
- Be it SF to LA, Chicago to Detroit or Atlanta to Miami, you can get to where you need to go AND be ultra productive - hangout with family playing ping pong, get your daily gym done, or stretch and do some yoga
- Each EVHub is customized to the specific region or state or area it’s in, and themed accordingly to celebrate the local culture, food, tradition or its people.
- How does EVHub work? @Izzy Jones
- EVHub pods are 90% recycled wood, 90% recycled plastic, operate off of solar panels (roof-mounted) and a small battery pack, and are completely off the grid
- HVAC is achieved through monopolizing on pressure differences induced by a pseudo-low pressure zone along the roof air-duct.
- EVHub is built in 3 subassemblies and finally assembled on-site with active telemetry and diagnostic tracking. In case any feature malfunctions, our control team is made aware and support will be right out (or the system fixed over-the-air)
- Simply plug your car into your chosen charging station (Tesla or EVgo or Chargepoint), walk over to the pod, scan your QR code associated with your account and you’re in.
- At end of life, these pods can be repurposed and refurbished as off-the-grid homes, storage pods, or be recycled and refurbished into new pods
- What’s the revenue stream? @Peerapat Nakornchai
- EVHub gathers revenue in two ways.
- One, through the user - either through a subscription service model, through the charging infrastructure company, or through the EV carmaker. It’s seamless. Plug-in, charge, and “hubout”.
- We also get revenue through marketing - the rooftop, select hub walls inside and outside are, and some outdoor areas are great high visibility spots for ad campaigns
- Think of EVHub as the airport lounge as you wait for your flight - if the pod is great, utilitarian, aesthetically pleasing and physically and mentally relaxing you wouldn’t mind charging.
