Statement:
I sit in the Humanities Reading Room in the Green Library at 9:00 am, trying to work on my college application essays. However, the hard wooden chairs and too high of a desk make it hard for me to feel comfortable even in the open well lit space. To help my experience, there needs to be other options besides the hard surface such as places for one to sit on the carpet.
Who sees the problem- me
What are the problems- I am on a large table, open to so many people to sit next to me, but I choose to sit as far as I can from other people. It is also uncomfortable to sit at these desks for a long time, with the hard chairs taking a toll of my posture, I just want to sit on the carpeted floor.
Where do I see the problem- The Lane Reading Room for Humanities & Area in Green Library
When do you see it happen- in the morning 9:00 am, most people get tired from sitting down for a long period of time, forgetting to get up and stretch. Being here for one hour is making me tired, even in the comfortable environment.
How does this problem surface- Being so absorbed in my work, wanting to be alone, having no friends who want to come at 9:00 am to the library to remind me to sit up
