🖥 Read Me! Primer on our Notion Website

Welcome to the CEE 176G/276G Sustainability Design Thinking Notion website

For this class, we will use Notion as our Documentation resource & the storage of everyone’s Design Journal. It will also be used for shared class outlines, references & notes from the instructional staff. This is in contrast to Canvas which will serve as our Course Management website where assignments will be need to be submitted and scores will be recorded. We will also use Slack as our preferred Communication platform.

Class Session Outlines, Notes, etc. Section

Instructional Staff will post material in the Class Session Section. We will usually refer to this material in class meetings & students can browse this material as a reference when working on projects & other assignments.

Student Design Journals Section

Notion is great for quickly saving ideas & thoughts as well as archiving your production material such as design thinking notes & work products. Instructional Staff will periodically review design journals for interim progress checks as well as final end-to-end design work verification. Be timely & detailed in adding to your design journal. IMPORTANT! Since your Design Journal will influence your project evaluations, know that Notion has a few “backup” features; you may like to proactively understand your recovery options: Back up your data.

Instructional Staff will post links to videos, web pages/sites & other online content that may help your sustainability design thinking mindset & skill-set develop. Browsing the material is not required for the class, but it may lead to valuable talking points or inspirations.
